ACTA Melbourne Function
Thursday 20th March 2025
Timed alongside the key coffee exhibition for the Southern Hemisphere (M.I.C.E.) ACTA’s Melbourne Dinner Function is held each year and always includes a fascinating industry discussion. Many Australian and global companies will be represented. This year the event took place once again at Victoria By Farmer’s Daughters on Federation Sq., with 2 guest speakers, Jano Crema from HUHTAMAKI who spoke on the key topic of Single Use Plastics from a coffee importer/coffee roaster’s perspective, and Haiya Zhang from ECOM China, who updated the guests on China’s developing coffee production and preparation for EUDR.
ACTA mid year Sydney Networking Banquet - June 19th 2025
The ACTA mid-year networking banquet is always a very well attended event that sells out fast, and this year was no exception! This year we had two key speakers presenting their thoughts on “Single Use Plastics – expected developments for ’25-’30 in Australia” (Richard Smith from AMCOR) and David Davies from AgUnity speaking on the topic of the value of traceability from a coffee exporter’s perspective. 45 invited guests came to this leading date in NSW’s coffee calendar, with a very active Q&A reflecting the high level of engagement and interest. Sponsorship generously supported by COFI COM, JET TECHNOLOGIES and RPM FREIGHT & LOGISTICS.
ACTA Brisbane Dinner & Presentations
Wednesday 20th August 2025
A bi-annual event, alternating each year with the associations’ Golf Day. This is planned to take place at Q ROASTERS coffee roastery, with a delicious BBQ style dinner followed by presentations by two guest speakers. A great opportunity for members and non-members from Queensland to network and hear about key topics in the coffee industry. More details to follow!
ACTA Golf Day

For 2025 we will be returning to Sydney. Sponsorship opportunities for ACTA members. An 18 hole ambrose competition followed by a superb lunch and presentation of prizes. A great opportunity to meet and play with other ACTA members.
ACTA AGM Function
Thursday 27th November 2025
ACTA AGM Function is held each year for ACTA members only. A more formal event with guest presenters. For the last three years the AGM has taken place within the marvelous surroundings of Park Hyatt, The Rocks, Sydney. Limited sponsorship opportunities for ACTA members. Last year’s event included a presentation by Kenneth Barigye of Mountain Harvest, a Ugandan coffee producer, and by Dr Tobias Kretzschmar of Southern Cross University on Australia’s efforts to improve local coffee production. Key sponsor in 2025 was RPM FREIGHT & LOGISTICS.

Future ACTA events will be posted here. ACTA has ran sustainability and climate change forums and hosted tasting events in the past along with other ‘one off’ coffee events.
